Alice in Dairyland

The moderators at Dairyland created a photography game based on Alice in Wonderland. Each week 1-3 photo assignments would be given. The assignments would include a list of required elements and a theme.

Phototrial 0 (Test Trial): Off with her head!
Your task for this Photo Trial is to illustrate the Queen's famous quote, "Off with her head," using a BJD.
Require elements: (1) At least one complete ball-jointed doll (2) Playing Cards (3) A heart-shaped object (4) A royal crown

Phototrial 1: The Dormouse's Story
Your task for this Photo Trial is to photograph your BJD surrounded by items beginning with the letter M!
Required elements: (1) At least one complete ball-jointed doll (2) At least six different objects with names beginning with the letter M**, one of which must be a Mouse

Phototrial 2: Through the Looking-Glass
Your task for this Photo Trial is to photograph your BJD peering into Looking-Glass world!
Required elements: (1) At least one complete ball-jointed doll, to be shown viewing its reflection in a mirror (2) A mirror (as noted above) (3) A kitten (4) A ball of yarn (5) Milk

Lightning Round 1: Jabberwocky
Your task for this Lightning Round is to photograph the Jabberwock!
Required Elements: (1) Your photo must feature a complete BJD. (2) You must make an obvious attempt to create a "scary" look for the Jabberwock. Creativity is encouraged. (3) You may invent your own look for the Jabberwock, and/or you may draw inspiration from the original Tenniel illustration (4) Pre-made scary figurines, props, cutouts, etc. will NOT be counted as a stand-in for the Jabberwock.

Phototrial 3: Eat me, Drink me
Your task for this Photo Trial is to photograph your BJD after it has undergone the effect of Wonderland's "Drink Me" or "Eat Me" foods!
Required Elements: (1) At least one complete ball-jointed doll, shown out of scale with its surroundings (it must clearly have "grown" or "shrunk") (2) A bottle, marked, "Drink Me" (3) A cake, marked, "Eat Me" (4) A mushroom

Phototrial 4: Very Merry Un-birthday
Your task for this Photo Trial is to photograph your BJD at Alice's Un-birthday Party!
Required Elements: (1) At least one complete ball-jointed doll (2) An outdoor setting (photo must be taken outdoors) (3) An egg (4) An Un-birthday card (5) At least three wrapped Un-birthday presents
Bonus: (1) If your egg is decorated like Humpty Dumpty (2) If your egg is sitting on top of a brick wall


The Aftermath:

Lightningn Round 2: Pure Nonsense!
Your task for this Lightning Round is to photograph yourself reflected in a mirror, while wearing a hat (an homage to the Mad Hatter) and holding a BJD with bunny ears.
Requirements: (1) The photo must obviously feature a mirror reflection. (2) You may obscure or hide your face if you are uncomfortable posting it online. (3) You may wear any type of hat. (4) You may use any type of BJD for this photo (actual bunny, or otherwise). (5) Your doll's bunny ears may be made of any type of material, with the exception of finger bunny ears!

Phototrial 5: Queen Alice
Your task for this Photo Trial is to photograph your BJD at Queen Alice's banquet!
Required Elements: (1) At least one complete ball-jointed doll, representing Queen Alice (2) A table, set with a tablecloth and a dish of food (3) An item with the word "Queen" clearly visible on it. (4) A creature (doll, plush toy, figurine, etc.) in RED, to represent the Red Queen (5) A creature (doll, plush toy, figurine, etc.) in WHITE, to represent the White Queen (6) A frog
Bonus: (1) If your photo has an obvious outdoor setting (2) If you incorporate actual, real chess pieces and/or a real chess board into the photo

Phototrial 6: Poetry Jam
Your task for this Photo Trial is interpret one of the poems from the Alice books, using a BJD and photography!
Requirements: (1) Each photo must feature a complete BJD. (2) Choose one poem from the six poems in the posts below. (3) Your photos must interpret, picture and/or relate to the imagery in the poem you select. You may be literal or creative in your interpretations, as long as there is a clear relation between your photos and the poem!

Phototrial 7 (Final Trial): Rose Gardens
Your task for this Photo Trial is to represent your team's rose in a photograph with your BJD!
Requirements: (1) a complete BJD, (2) your respective team rose, (3) and a sign featuring your official Team Slogan.
