Comic 121

October 30:08:47 AM

This comic was supposed to show up in the Cosplay Con story arc a year ago, but then we went on hiatus. So finally, a year late, and several years after the event depicted actually happened, here is a shout-out to my friend "Sketch" and his Leathery-Vash awesomeness from Anime Boston 2004.

Fox Painting

October 22:11:07 PM

No regular comic this week. It was my birthday; I didnt feel like inking. Instead, we offer a sketch - painting I did of a fox.

So far away... I hope to see you at next otakon. If I get lucky I'll be going to a few more cons with coming year, as well.

Posted by Zenzetra @ 10/14/2007 05:48 PM EST

Probably not... We found we just don't have any fun at Otakon anymore... I'm sure we'll cross at a con somewhere sometime though. We're starting to do more of them again.

Yeah, what's with that? This year's Anime Boston was my first con ever and it was so awesome that I jumped at the chance to go to Otakon this summer... and I must admit I was somewhat disappointed. I just can't identify what it was about Otakon that didn't exude that "con high".

Posted by Slöseri @ 10/15/2007 03:26 PM EST

Thats weird. My bff has been to Otakon three times and she always tells me how awsome it is each time she's there.

Posted by SJ @ 10/15/2007 03:34 PM EST

Oh and I should mention that the third time she went it was this summer. She told me that she had so much fun that she missed getting autographs from the voice actors which is rare cause it would take alot to pull her away from getting an autograph exspically if its a voice actor she really likes.

Posted by SJ @ 10/15/2007 03:37 PM EST

In our case its because it is so expensive, so we find we don't ever leave the artist's alley, but that is so big you can't actually really talk to anyone, which is the fun of a con - meeting people, seeing people and so forth. So for us, Otakon is just too big.

Where is Bakaretsukon held acctally?

Posted by SJ @ 10/16/2007 10:26 AM EST

Comic 119

October 9:02:13 AM

More color catch up. 116 and 117 have their color treatment. And I translated the Japanese in 118 as well.

And comic 119 is up as well. Ahh yes, at least one thing every Convention gets left behind...

Comic 118

October 2:12:36 PM

Honestly, this comic doesn't quite do justice to the sight of Li going total fangirl when faced with StarWars cosplayers. Especially, for whatever reason, those who cosplay from the Empire. Particularly Darth Vader... There was one where she total fangirled -blushing etc when she asked to take his picture... And then asked if she could hug him... I don't remember her being quite so blonde when she actually got to speak to Peter Mayhew... So maybe its a costume thing...

Awww, cute!

I don't get to fangirl much these days, but I say if you're gonna go fangirl on something, make it count... because you never know when your actions may cause you to get thrown out of where you are...

"Dark" Vader? Hehee

Posted by T'eao @ 10/03/2007 05:53 AM EST

...Well its close at least *fixes*

Posted by Akiko @ 10/03/2007 08:26 PM EST

Hm. Would now ~not~ be a good time to mention that Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) is going to be guest-teaching my improv acting class next week? I'm not sure I've quite wrapped my head around the magnitude of the thing enough to work out how to react...

Posted by Sean @ 10/04/2007 11:14 AM EST

Do the 501st have her on some sort of watch list yet?

Heh, fangirls going "squeee" is always cute... in moderate amounts.

Posted by SpotWeld @ 10/04/2007 11:30 PM EST

No, because she is very sweet about it - she's a drooling fangirl not a rabid fangirl... She knows to keep appropriate distance. But I doubt most stormtroopers expect fangirls for their costumes!

Posted by Akiko @ 10/05/2007 12:59 PM EST

All in good fun, non-rabid-ness is well understood.

Color

October 1:10:16 PM

110, 111, and 115 (rabid fangirl) are up in color now.

Now onto the 'recent' comics... But first, inking tomorrow's comic.
