Comic 91 will be late and more comments on comiku girls 90
August 22:09:09 AM Comic will be up a little later today. Akiko is finishing some edits on her thesis, but should be able to ink and post soon.
I figured I should mention a few words about last weeks' comic, since i was lazy and didn't before. The very-adored Vash in the comic is my friend Sketch. Mere (the Shuichi dancing with me) and I did indeed dance and act silly and got the crowd all worked up before the masquerade, but it certainly took a bit of effort. All Sketch had to do was stand up, and the crowd went nuts. Now some of it was certainly the character he was dressed as. But it was also because he was a damn good Vash, having a really well-made costume, and the right attitude to portray the character.
Ok, so maybe I'm a little jealous. ;p
And unfortunately my drawing sucks, so check out Sketch's comic Sketched Out Life for a much better drawn version of him and his vash costume.

Comiku Girls 90: Playing to the Crowd
August 16:11:14 PM Li decided I should post the note for the week since I'm almost a person again...
I finished the draft of my thesis, although I'm trying to edit it now in two days. Tomorrow I have a meeting about my health benefits, Monday and Tuesday are faculty orientation. In between I have to edit my thesis, write my final seminar, and prepare for my defense at the same time as the first week of classes.
But on the positive side, I'm moved into my new apartment and Li is coming this weekend.

Comic and con report
August 9:02:49 PM As you can see, we have a filler this week, but the good news is that the comic will be resuming it's normal weekly schedule starting next week (and just in time for our two-year anniversary). Akiko's finished writing her disertation (YAY!!) but she's moving this week, hense the filler. We both appreciate your patiance with the hectic updating of the summer.
I've just posted up my con report. Otakon was a disappointment. I was glad to see friends, but I didn't make up the cost of getting down there, and I had a couple major frustrations that over all made a 'decent' (at best) con weekend into an unhappy one.

Filler and Otakon
August 1:08:12 AM Another Sad Chibi picture this week. We actually do have the rough for the next comic, but Akiko is beyond busy with the last week of writing her disertation, so she hasn't even had time to look at the comic rough, let alone do anything with it. But I thought we should at least post something this week, and therefore, I threw up the new Sad Chibi picture I just finished drawing last night. I'll be debuting it at Otakon this weekend.
Which reminds me, I'll be at Otakon this weekend. I'll probably be in the artist alley all weekend, and I'll be stealing a bit of table space from Sketch and generally being the Booth Wench for his table.
