Cha-cha-changes

March 19:11:08 AM

We're hoping to do some greater integration between our universes in the next few weeks so that by the time we start in on the new comics, we'll have made some website changes. Hopefully we won't break anything in the process. In fact, we're hoping to fix a few things that have gotten broken.

I spent the weekend at Li's. We are mostly (okay not really but we're getting there) ready for Anime Boston, our next convention. At least my costume won't have gapping open seams. Hopefully I'll get my prop finished in time, but it's just details I need to fuss with now. And ironing. My kimono for the costume needs some SERIOUS ironing.

Li will NOT be in attendance - she'll be in Japan, which she seems to think is more exciting than an anime convention. So I'm making her work like crazy before she goes. We WILL have new sad chibi's (A new FMA and pair of Death Note boys). And I am really hoping to get some painting done so we can have a new brush painting. But I also have to ink those sad chibis, do all the printing... I'll be scanning a bunch of stuff tonight, including the next batch of updated comics. Busy Akiko! I have a commission half finished to complete tonight, comics to edit, and of course my real job to work on in between it all...

Yea, it might take a while before we get around to those changes I mentioned...

Wow.. looks like you girls have a lot on your plates.

Make sure Li brings back some neat stuff to play with, going to japan and whatnot.

Good luck at AB Akiko-chan!

Nohcon

March 4:07:24 PM

Nohcon was successful I think. I got a commission to work on for the week - marking my Official return to taking commissions. I've supposedly been taking them since I finished my thesis last September, but I haven't actually had anyone WANT a commission. So now I'm back to doing commissions as I have a commission to do :). Plus I got a chance to see a friend from NC, Lisa Furakawa, who was the musical guest at the con.

Also I got the first couple new comics from Li, so new comics will be ready to go as soon as we finish the edited Reprise. Li has more than enough scripts to keep her busy for a while. And we've got evil ideas for our 100th comic, which will be posted at the very end of May, ironically while we are going to be in Europe.
