The OAV series consists of six tapes, thirteen episodes. There is a TV series that followed the original OAV, which is currently being released in the US, entitled Chronicles of the Heroic Knight. In addition there was a movie and OAV entitled Legend of Crystalia, which takes place in the same universe as Lodoss, but in a kind of alternate reality. It features some characters from the original, but the animation quality and story just aren't up to par.
