Kareshi Kanojyo no Jijyo: Characters

Miyazawa Yukino - first year: She is the queen of vanity. While she appears graceful, intelligent, sweet and basically perfect, she really studies hard at home to make it appear easy in school. At home she is lazy and a slob. Her entire life has revolved around maintaining her perfect image and receiving the adoration of those around her. She loves her sisters - feeling they are cute and obnoxious, and views Arima initially as a rival, and eventually as a friend and confidant - someone she can be herself around.
Arima Souichirou - first year: He is everything Yukino pretends to be - intelligent, athletic, nice, from a good family. However, he finds sides of himself that he didn't know he had when he befriends Yukino, and is unsure how he feels about it. He is adopted, and feels that he has to be "perfect" to live up to what his parents deserve. Thus, he must be a model student.
Asaba Hideaki - first year: Although initally a huge jerk, he becomes good friends with Arima and Yukino. Good looking and popular, he loves being adored by the ladies.
Tsukino (junior high) and Kano (junior high): Yukino's sisters - cute and a little obnoxious, they see through Yukino's act, and tease her mercilessly for it at home. They also help her through tough times as well. Miyazawa Hiroyuki - age 37 blue collar worker, Yukino's father. He plays the standard protective role of the father, but likes Arima, as he knows Yukino could not do much better for a boyfriend. Miyazawa Miyaka - age 35 homemaker, Yukino's mother
